systemd is a not only an init systemd, but also a session manager, making the same features that are available for managing the system available to manage the user sessions
Abstract
This is intended to be a follow-up talk to the systemd talk from the boot and init track. While the focus of that talk is how systemd is useful for bringing up and maintaining the system in this talk we’ll focus more on how to use it to manage user sessions, and how it relates to gnome-session and the KDE session manager, or the D-Bus session bus.
