REGISTERING FOR MULTIPLE EVENTS

Please note when registering for multiple events: Registration for LinuxCon North America/CloudOpen 2012 is available as an add-on option, so attendees may register for these events via the Plumbers Conference registration form.

However, if you are a speaker or sponsor of LinuxCon North America and/or CloudOpen, please register for those conferences separately using the access code you were provided.

If you were invited to attend Linux Kernel Summit (on Monday, August 27th), please use the Kernel Summit registration form where you can add-on your Plumbers Conference and/or LinuxCon North America/CloudOpen registration (except in the event that you are speaking at Plumbers and/or LinuxCon North America/CloudOpen, in which case you will need to register on multiple forms).

AIR TRAVEL

Fly into San Diego International Airport (SAN). The hotel (C on map below) runs a free shuttle service to and from the airport, or it is a 10 minute walk from Terminal 1 (B) and 20 minutes from Terminal 2 (A).

Walking Directions from Airport to Hotel (0.5 miles – 800 meters starting from Terminal 1)

  1. Exit the terminal and make a left on the sidewalk (do not cross).  You *must* go left – it might look like it would be quicker to go right, but there is no way across to the hotel that direction.
  2. You will cross a narrow service road, keep walking on the sidewalk until you reach an intersection.
  3. Walk across the street (you will walk under the elevated freeway at that point).
  4. Now go across the street you are on (there is a pedestrian traffic light). You will find yourself on the right side of the street, on the sidewalk.
  5. Continue on the sidewalk, and turn right into the Sheraton driveway.

GETTING AROUND & SIGHTSEEING

Bus route 992 goes directly from Terminal 1 at the airport to downtown near the Gaslamp district. GROCERIES & PHARMACY

For groceries, your best bet is Trader Joe’s in Point Loma. See directions here.

If you need a pharmacy, there is a Rite Aid easily accessible via the Big Bay Shuttle. Stop at the first stop (Maritime Museum), walk up Ash street, cross one intersection, then a set of railway tracks and the pharmacy will be at the next corner (Ash and Kettner). Return to the hotel boarding the shuttle at the same location where you got off. Walking directions from the Shuttle stop to the pharmacy are  here.
